i just typed up a new post, only to have my shitty dsl connection drop it before i could post it up

damnit.

so this private first class was trying to get some airline tickets.

i spoke to him at work about it.

i don’t want to use his name, but his last starts with CARLISLE.

he is trying to get a flight from here, san antonio, up to dallas and back.

seems it was easier to get two one way tickets than to buy a round trip. you know how southwest runs those flight specials? they’re always one way.

had a little trouble wiht my connectivity lately.

i’m trying to implement some safeguards to stymie spammers, so my comments are kind of hosed right. i’ll get them fixed. really, i’m a total comment whore, so, it’s kind of like not getting paid right now for me.

redpin had a little hickup yesterday. i lost some mail. so, if y’all sent me anything recently, please resend.

so i got up early this morning and went to a martial arts tournament at san antonio college. downtown.

first thing. i get in my car and start driving. there’s a crazy lady waving at me. seems she’s actually the apartment manager, ….

and she wants my blood.

they’re running some kind of a blood drive.

my first response is no, y’all probably don’t want my blood, what with all of the supplements i take.

she assures me that it’s ok. and then mentions that the blood is earmarked for delivery to florida.

i’ve got to be one of the worst ever for returning videos to blockbuster. i’m so horrible, that fater the initial 4$ rental, i’ll usually wind up paying at least 2 late fees.

now, i just cut to the chase and buy the damn things. some of my friends give me hell. they say i’m wasting money on my burgeoning dvd collection, but i know the truth. i would have paid that much anyway, now at least i have the actual dvd to show for it.

i’ve taken to buying the used videos out of blockbuster. everybody else is in there looking at the rentals. i’m looking at the clearance dvd’s. usually 2 for 20 bucks, or 3 for 25. something around there.

i was just in a video store, kara had to force me to put ginger snaps ii down. i’m a real sucker for vampire movies.!

well, i’m off to go watch my cheap b-rate movies.

i got caught speeding on july 2nd. didn’t even know it.

bastards. dc radared me and then mailed me the ticket.

there goes a 100 bucks.

if i just pay the fee, it’s not any points. take it to court, it’s points, court fees, and a bigger fine. sounds like blackmail.

ok, y’all, i’m whining.

wednesdays are fight nights for me at my school . tonight he decried our conditioning. and promptly ran our sorry asses into the ground.

at first i thought it was just me, but after jumping rope for around 15 minutes, and starting to don our sparring gear, i noticed multiple other asses dragging the floor as well.

i had intended to do a nice little thing up in response to a post by sekimori . i haven’t really been reading her site that long, but i like it so far. i’ll post it up tomorrow night.

my new graphics are coming. patience……

i’ve been sicker than a dog this weekend. i was to go to atlantic city. i had to pass. that would have been a good post, but i guess it’ll have to wait for that vegas trip…

i went to the store yesterday to buy some new jeans. sounds simple enough doesn’t it? you go in, you pick out your size, if you can find them, and you pay.

but noooooooo, nothing can be that easy.

well, not everyone elses did.

a long, long time ago. i was constantly traveling. the navy kept sending me around to various places to catch ships and subs. it was not always very easy to check my home email. my old dave at tnet dot es (spain, where i lived) just wasn’t that accessable from turkey, israel, or the u. s. for that matter.

several months ago i had the fortune of attending a mandatory fun day for work. ok, i am contracted out to the army. and all i had to do was go to this silly picnic and have fun. i didn’t know where the specified picnic ground was so i followed a coworker (girl #1). then we walked out to the picnic area together after parking. i was new and didn’t know many people so i kind of kept to myself a little bit. midway through the picnic i was approached by some old guy who introduced his wife to me, then introduced me to his wife as girl #1’s husband. it was really pretty funny, explaining to the guy what my name was and that i don’t wear a wedding band for a reason. it was a good laugh.

last night it happened again.

i was at a surprise birthday party for a friend. i was seated at a table next to a girl (girl #2) AND her husband. i actually knew most of the people at the party, but not all. shortly after dinner, the wife of a friend had to get clarification that i was girl #2s husband, not the other guy hovering around. she was corrected.

i’m having a bit of difficulty with this now. first time was funny. second time? i’m not mad, i just want to know why people are assigning women to me.

and please, if you are going to assign women to me, make her a single girl.

i have to find my digital camera.

Could it be? After much labor, and an extended attempt at being lazy, I finally got out the directions and setup moveable type. We’ll see in a minute if this posts up correctly.

I tried to set it up on the fly once, and failed to run the mt-config script, so of course, I couldn’t blog.

At this point I got lazy and figured I would pay someone to set it up for me. I contacted a few sites / individuals, and they all wanted to contract for way more than I wanted.

In the end, I had to get off my lazy butt, break out the directions, follow them (and that is the most important part) and set this thing up.

It appears to be working now. I’ll no doubt start tweaking my pages shortly. I do after all have to entertain y’all.
