i installed a webcam on my computer for y’alls amusement.

so i broke down and upgraded my phone.

nothing wrong with the old motorola v60. when i bought that, it was state of the art. now, it’s just a plain old phone.

so i bought a new motorola razr v3.

super slim, plays stereo and videos. takes picstures. has a speaker phone. sends email and text messages.

got for 150 smacks at sams club with cingular.

i recently added some regex entries to my blacklist to block the gambling trackback pings. i don’t know how yet that has resulted in some of you getting blocked.

i added ‘holdem, poker, gambling, casino, and blackjack to a regex string in my blacklist.

works like a champ! i didn’t know it was blocking some of you though.

i’m working to fix it.

my dsl at home is in the fritz.

the wiring in my new house has to be repaired invloving the removal of brick. subcontractors who did the initial install are being tasked as we speak.

in the interim, they aggravated the problem last night while checking the line. so i have almost no dsl connectivity at all.

i’ll see if i can get something going though. i have a lot to say and share with y’all.

i hate scsi.

true it’s faster than ide. but it is so much easier. i have a raid 5 that lost a disk. i have to replace it, and because it is a raid, striped across three drives, i get to rebuild the whole damn thing.

don’t get me wrong, for a server that requires 15k rpm, scsi is the way. but for a workstation with a user sitting at the controls, there are far greater limitations on access response. please, give me some ide drives, and larger ram sticks with better fsb.

i love what technology allows us to do.

in this case, it’s not just satelite tv, but the scifi channel in particular. it’s my mom’s favorite channel, and one of mine as well.

while at home this last thankgiving, my dad and i made our usual attempts to entic emy mom into watching college football with us.

it never works, although sometimes she’ll sack out on the couch and read while the game is on. this always results in immediate exclamations of ‘what happened!’ whenever someone scores.

but this last thanksgiving, my mom refused and went drifting down the hall to her bedroom with exclamations of:

so i’m sitting here this afternoon, taking a break from a rather productive sunday. i was almost done with my laundry, had finished cleaning and unpacking everything for upstairs. had been grocery shopping, cleaned my ktichen.

i was feeling pretty good. i was dreading going out and stacking my bricks. i have this huge pile of bricks in my garage. they were leftover from building my house. and i need to stack them under my stairs (in the garage).

got my regular computer setup just now. attached it to my new wireless network, with WEP of course.

ok, i’ve broken down.

i set this thing up back at the end of january, and have just never gotten around to putting any graphics up.

so i’m going to buy some.

rachel over at ‘bitchalicious’ does a little business. a whopping sixty smacks and she is going to make my site a little pretty. i’m probably going to end paying extra for some more elaborate graphics, but what the hay?

oh, if y’all take a look at her site, pay attention to the ‘skins’ pull down menu. i’m quite fond of the ‘booty’ theme she has going on, but that’s not safe for work (NSFW) she has more than a few to look at.

any suggestions? post them in the comments. i kind of have a little middle eastern theme type look in mind.

maybe some harem girls? dhows? kind of a blue background?

i finally got my new phatnoise mp3 player installed. they did a good job of making this thing.

unfortunately, they won’t work in every car yet. i didn’t really pay any attention to that when i bought mine, i just knew that it would work in my little gti. sean over at ambivalent one is lamenting the fact that he can’t get one for his audi yet, and has even written the company to try and help them along.

phatnoise is an interface for a 20 Gb hard drive. you drag and drop mp3s onto the hard drive from a docking station on your computer, carry the hard drive out to your car, and play your music. i have almost 1,000 songs on my phatnoise right now, and not even a third of the portable hard drive is full.

well, i skipped class tonight because i have to get this dvd project done. i have a bunch of video from the last tkd tourny and have finished ripping into my computer as mpegs.

thing is, i bought some new software and i have to learn how to use it. i just haven’t really had the chance to sit down and start learning how. i’ve spent more than a few nights trying to read up on it, but it’s hard to accomplish some detailed reading 30 minutes to an hour at a time. the software i used to use is pictured at right. it’s pretty easy, and i got a sweet deal on their professional level stuff, so i upgraded.

i’ll be ranting about celebrities this weekend. i have a few opinions i want to share. but keep reading for my dvd software saga.
