Creeping Sharia
mogadishu has fallen.
sharia law is creeping out of the middle east and expanding its reach to new territory.

last year i tried to give up meat for lent.
it didn’t workout. after nearly passing out while going down some stairs, coworker/friends insisted i have some protein.
yeah, i ate pistachios. i looked for protein bars and the like. just didn’t work for me. i’m a carnivore.
i made it 10 days though.

a little known danish artist published some sketches of mohammed in a dane magazine.

want me to make you mad? read on!
if you don’t want to get a little upset, just don’t even bother reading this post.
ever seen the movie ‘a few good men?’ starring demi moore and the crackpot tom cruise. they play sailor officers defending a couple of enlisted marines that accidentally killed another while beating him up.
this post isn’t about the details of beating someone up. it’s not about bullying people either.
it’s about how we as men treat women. i promise you’ll be upset if you read to the end.

Merry Christmas to everyone.
i’m safely tucked away in mom and dad’s house. eating christmas tacos, drinking a little big red plus. and watching football.
tomorrow will be the presents, as usual.

everyone talks crap about how we’re colonizing iraq. how evil the west is for what we’ve done to the world.

western colonialism.
i expect of youngsters who have not been to college, or traveled much to rely on the meagre history taught in public school.
but for a college student, or a student of the world, i expect them to be able to look past the facade of the myth of western evil.
i see this same belief in the ‘simple’ manifest itself normally in one of two ways.

it’s an arabic word.
taqqiya is the concept of doublespeak. kind of like a double entendre. but with taqqiya, it is specifically the skill of double speaking to infidels to deceive them. to get them to drop their guard. to bring about the circumstances allowing you to take advantage of them.
want some examples?

Pope Benedict.
a new pope.
i remember the last two. both john paul i, and john paul ii.
i don’t really remember who john paul i replaced though.
but i’ve noticed something interesting about the rhetoric from the left. i was reading madame butterfly, as i frequently do and some comments about progress made being lost really piqued my interest.
who are we to change religion.

gus is a dumbass.
he continues to represent opinions as facts, and then try to authoritatively conclude his skewed logic is correct.
recently, i posted a little ditty about my stance on gay marriage. this post isn’t about gay marriage. gay marriage is simply the vehicle that i’m going to use to highlight the noviciate debating techniques used by (our still cowardly and anonymous) f-in cheney.

and let the pictures recommence. blondie is out of iraq and can hopefully read my site with impunity!
i read this post over at somewhat silent about gay marriage.
i’m going to state my opinion right out on top.
i don’t support gay marriage.
no doubt madame butterfly is going to want to kick my ass again. we had a rather lively chat over chick-fil-a one fine maryland summer day.
i might support civil unions. well, i do support civil unions, but i might support them for gays as well as heteros. i just haven’t decided yet.
a few of you already knew this. but most of you might be a little surprised at my reasons. read on if you dare.

Merry Christmas.
don’t know if i’ll post again before the holiday, so just in case, have a good one.

yep, i’m going to write a little about mel gibson’s upcoming ‘passion of the Christ’. but this won’t be what you expect.
i have a tendency to do that. surprise people. i’m kind of a big whote guy. people usually mistake me for being a little bit ‘slow’ at first impression. they usually make up their mind before we ever talk. i get kind of the same thing about religion. seems like my proclivity for an occasional beer and a boys night out somehow equates to my being an atheist. friends are usually pretty surprised when they actually find out how religious i am.
