i saw something today that hit me hard.

i was watching a video on little green footballs about the tea party in dc this past weekend.  there were a good smattering of asstards with outrageous signs.

say what you like, but they are definitely not astroturf.

the thing i saw that really hit me was several signs advocating glenn beck as a presidential candidate in 2012 for the constitutional party.  i’ve told many people that i am not a republican, that i am a conservative. that i vote my conscious. that i vote fiscally conservative and fairly moderate socially.

i have often wondered who could possibly run in 2012 against the green-liberal-socialists and have a chance. i was not, and am not, exaclty a fan of john mccain.
it makes sense now. like him or hate him.  he actually has succeeded in getting near a million people, a million non trained or payed citizens, to demonstrate.

i think he may actually have a chance at being a legitimate third party candidate.
