Mlah: "never mind that they [Democrats] are the ones who keep calling shrubs foray into the land of the fertile crescent nuclear war."
Who has said anything like that?
Could you state the premise of this post more clearly and directly? Your rhetorical gambit is painfully convoluted.

Yup: "Oh, I see. So many hundreds of thousands of people have died in Iraq because of the American economic sanctions regime, followed by the death and destruction caused by the American invasion and occupation, that it is on a par with the casualties we might expect from a nuclear war. I get it."
Is that really it? I'm not so sure. He didn't bring up the pre-war sanctions. What is he trying to say about Democrats? I think he's been smoking pot.

But Gus and his ilk have told us ad nauseum that there were no nukes in Iraq. How can there be a nuclear war? Never mind that the nuclear weapons issue was one of verification, and not an Administration claim that there were in fact nuclear weapons hidden in the country. That Hussein's nuclear weapons program could have been restarted and developed a weapon in a matter of months was not enough of a worry to the people who want to practice Lenin's dictum that if you repeat a falsehood often enough it becomes fact. What's that? It would have taken years, decades even for Hussein's program to get a working fissionable device? Hey, the same people making those claims said the same thing about North Korea and Iran.......
