i ran a 10K!

for those of you who know me, yeah, i really did.

well, i traversed 10k. i walked just a little bit here and there.

i started at 6 am. yeah, the butt crack of dawn in asscrackistan. me and just around … oh … 1150 other people.

for some strange reason, all the military types fancy themselves runners. and well, most of them beat me.

i think i finished around 1100, which was also my number.

i started out at a good pace and ran for more than 2 miles before i had to examine something on the side of the road. it necessitated my stopping and walking for a bit.

it was funny. when i started. marines and soldiers (paratroopers mind you) were all running past me. air force i was passing. guess who i unwillingly and unconsciously wound up running with?

the navy.

i laughed after about a half mile when i realized i was in the middle of a group of navy chiefs.

they later mostly left me and i would up runnign with a bunch of zoomie girls. i stayed with them as long as i could. not just cause they were zoomie girls, but because they were the hospital OR staff! they eventually spread out and i beat some of them.

oh. heidi finished like 2nd? and then RAN BACK to make sure i finished.

i’m sore.

  1. Damn that’s impressive. Where was the run taking place? Through a city or something?

  6. How does it feel that a bunch of old Navy Chiefs left you in their dust? Make you long for the days? Heh.

(Not that I could even finish a 10k right now, I’m so fat & lazy.)
