I like calling/texting people on my cell phone while I'm driving. Does it make a difference that I always wear my seatbelt? :)

Congrats to your friend for being in such good shape that he came out of that wreck with minor injuries!!!! I've heard of stories like that before. It's amazing what the body can endure when you take care of it.

I do S-o-o-o-o- agree!!

I live literally right next to a Freeway.

Last night I heard too many Fire Engines to just be a run-of-the-mill accident. I got out of the pool,(the wall around the pool is a good jump-off point to the active Freeway!) From a Lounge Chair I saw a totally destroyed S.U.V. and three other scattered cars.

I went over to the bridge overpass directly across, and joined other onlookers who saw the whole thing. Four Emergency Vans, four Fire Engines, 8 CHP cars, and about 3 Mega Tow trucks were already on the scene. From what I understand, it was a 'cell phone' accident. Three people were taken away on gurneys to the Emergency Vehicles.

I cannot understand how anyone could survive the worst of the three damaged cars.....the S.U.V I saw. It was so demolished , it looked like a smashed soda can with white side Air Bags hanging out like flags. It took the Tow Truck driver at least 30 minutes to try to get that thing on the ramp.
