rita did affect me.

not only did it come rolling through miami while i was here. but it made things bad enough in san antonio that they canceled our tournament.

my school hosts the south texas open every year. this year it was …. today! but because san antonio was an evacuation point, san antonio college refused to let us use the usual gym.

they thought they might need it as a shelter.

yeah, i’m in miami

rita is supposed to pass south of us tonight sometime. it’s still just a tropical storm right now, but the news is saying it could reach cat 2 over the night. so, even if it does reach cat 2, as long as it passes south of us, the worst that happens here should be around a tropical storm level affair.

the pic was taken at 6:30 in the pm. it started raining…… hard at around 7:30 it’s rained off and on all afternoon.

may take some more pics in the morning.

UPDATE: 9:00 and it’s not raining. not really windy either.

can’t be top dog forever.

the sooners are 1-2 now. it’s killing me to watch the games. they have soooo much potential, but are making really basic mistakes. turnovers everywhere.

they’re improving. and pretty quickly.

right now, i’m just hoping they can beat texas. THAT will be the cornerstone of this season.

i recently made the prediction that foreign governments wouldn’t render too much aid, if any, to us as a result of katrina.

for the most part, i was right. they gave us a trifle of what we gave them. even adjusted for gnp.

yeah, i’m fighting hard with upgrading the software on my blog. i’m about ready to just flat out scrap the whole thing and start over, re-importing my old entries.

i basically just punted and reset up my old cgi’s
