<description>please, you know that if they were killed in retaliation for upsetting people in a chat room, as long as the killers are from certain segments of our society, they will be shielded from the more severe application of the laws, and receive lesser punishments.

if the family were upsetting muslims, they deserved to be hurt. that they were killed, oh well. they were only Christians, of a sort, anyway. the father should have known that to mock the true faith is a killing offense.

a bisexual crack-head kills a gay man in a robbery gone haywire, and the dead man becomes a martyr for the homosexual cause, posterboy for hate crimes laws everywhere (at least as applied to homosexual victims). he is the glorious martyr used to advance the homosexual agenda throughout the country.

at the same time, a couple of gay men kill a young 12 year-old while they are raping him, and their case is hushed up by the mass media because they don&#039;t want to upset the gay lobby. and they&#039;re neither hate criminals nor obscene pedophiles.

a couple of black men torture and kill a foursome of white people in Kansas. they make the men play all kinds of masochistic games, rape their women in front of them, then slay them out of hand. the women are kept for additional obscene sex games for a couple of hours and then they are all left for dead in a freezing field. the killers did it because they were full of hate for their &quot;white oppressors.&quot; but they&#039;re not hate criminals.

black kids in Maryland beat a hispanic man to death because he was, well, white and walking through their neighborhood. the sheriff refuses to charge them with a hate crime.

George W. Bush was branded a racist for his refusal to add hate crimes to the list of charges against the already-condemned killers of a black man in Texas. even though the killers were already sentenced to death, the NAACP demanded they be labeled as hate criminals to boot, and condemned to death all over again (perhaps a sentence of hanging until half-dead, then drawing and quartering would have made them happy) and when the Texas governor decided he didn&#039;t want to waste money (let alone justify lifting a segment of the population above the rest of his constituency) on additional prosecution -- after all, Texas has a pretty good record of carrying out such penalties -- he was pilloried by his opponents.

so you see, regardless of whether that man was killed for exercising his first amendment rights, his killers may not get the full amount of justice under the law. there may have been mitigating circumstances, you see, and there are just certain segments of society who are not held to the same standards as others.
