M & M

i was just flipping through the tv channels when i spotted something on c-span.

a kind of smallish asian woman.

i also heard the word internment.

being a devoted reader of M & M, i immediately flipped back to see if it was her.

i got lucky! i got to sit and watch the majority of her sept 8th speech and q & a session at the university of california (berkely). there was a protest going on outside. you could tell they were chanting, but couldn’t really hear what they were saying.

she showed a lot of poise, and answered some questions too. some people had to go outside of the rules and shout their questions.

i really am starting to despise protestors. not because i have any kind of opinions about their topic du jour, but because i believe the majority of protestors are out there just because.

i’m surprised they haven’t protested ‘spam’ yet for misleading them into thinking it was ham. and it’s all dubya’s fault!

anyhow, she was there to talk about her book, in defense of internment. seems she has a problem with equating the internment of japanese in wwii to the gitmo alqae-duh prisoners.

i’m going to have to read the book.

her blog; linked above, talks about a myriad of subjects. i just got done reading about how women in darfur, and the girls in the school in beslan, were raped by their respective muslim attackers.

she also points out that in tribute to ‘the dan’, sgt stryker has started a new program of ‘jammies for danny’. remember when dan rather popped off about the uncredibility of people blogging in their pajamas? well, go ahead, mail a pair of your not so favorite jammies in to danny-boi. preferably soiled.

he’s gonna get some dirty drawers from me.
