Abu Musab Al Zarqawi

Filed under: Politics — mlah @ 1:38 am

I just read on junkyard blog that al jazeerah is reporting zarqawi was captured on the syrian – iraqi border.

sweet.

Update: i’ve yet to hear anything else about this in the any media. so i’m beginning to think it was bogus.

  1. I was popping around online media sources earlier trying to find anyone else who was stating the same story – - it would be great if it is true – - but I’m with you that I think it is bogus.

  2. Kinda like when the reports that UBL was trapped in the mountains by Pakistan a few months ago…I’d be hesitant to believe initial reports coming out of al Jazeera.

There was the arrest in Pakistan of 1998 embassy bomber “Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani – who is on the FBI’s list of 22 most wanted terrorists, with a reward of up to $25 million on his head”, which may have led to the brouhaha in NY, NJ & DC financial districts today.

  4. Shamelessly pointing y’all to one of Drudge’s items. I’m looking forward to finally getting all the details behind the War on Terrorism in October: http://www.teamamericamovie.com/

Gus, you just gotta laugh sometimes.

Mlah, erase my posting if it’s not appropriate.

  5. Coming from the South Park guys, I’m sure it’ll be hilarious. In an extremely sharp double-edged-sword kind of way. Can’t wait.
